Chevrolet Service Technician Job Description: Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Accept work orders from advisors, and deliver customers’ vehicles to the service area.
• Complete routine Chevrolet Maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotation, wheel alignment, battery inspection/testing and replacement, multi-point inspections, brake fluid exchange, brake pad replacement, filter replacement, check engine light diagnosis, essential fluids exchange, and more.
• Consider reported performance symptoms, and inspect primary systems and essential components for accurate problem identification with recommended repair formulation.
• Communicate professionally with customers for enhanced service satisfaction and clearly with colleagues to quickly complete services.
• Perform quality assurance inspections and drive testing to confirm results.
• Follow safety and housekeeping protocols by storing tools in the assigned space and maintaining a clean service area.
