Performance
Designed from the ground up to be solely powered by batteries, the Silverado EV will be a truck like no other. Under the hood will be the same electric powertrain as the GMC Hummer EV, a 350-kW fast-charging system, and is said to provide up to 400 miles of range, 8,000-pound towing capacity, and an estimated 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. Though seeing has how this truck is yet to be released, it remains to be seen if these will be the figures for the base model.
Exterior & Interior Design
Since the Silverado is a year off from being on the market, little is known about its interior design. That being said, some have seen inside the upcoming RST trim and were impressed by what they saw. It was noted that this model featured a fixed glass roof, black-and-white two-tone leather upholstery, and similar passenger space as a regular Silverado crew cab pickup.
Safety
Chevrolet has said the brand's handsfree Super Cruise system will be offered, at least on the high-end RST trim.
